EASYIO: Easy Input and Output Platform for Matlab/Simulink
The EASYIO platform is the USB version of the HILINK platform and RAPCON platform. It is a complete and low-cost real-time development package for both educational and industrial applications that do not require high sampling rates. The platform achieves real-time operation with sampling rates up to 1024 Hz.
Applications
- Real-time signal analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization
- Parameter tuning and optimization
- Modeling, analysis and design of control systems
- Real-time control
- Hardware-in-the-loop simulation
- Real-time rapid control prototyping
- Teaching concepts and carrying out experiments in signals and systems labs
- Real-time data acquisition
- Mechatronics

Requirements
- PC with Windows XP or later with a USB port
- Matlab R2007b or later with Simulink, Real-Time Workshop (renamed as Matlab Coder and Simulink Coder in Matlab R2011a and later) and Real-Time Windows Target (renamed as Simulink Desktop Real-Time in Matlab R2015a and later)
- It can be used with the Normal Mode Soft Real-Time Library without Real-Time Workshop, Matlab Coder, Simulink Coder, Real-Time Windows Target and Simulink Desktop Real-Time
- EASYIO hardware (real-time control board) 1.1 or later
- EASYIO software 1.1 or later
- Power supply (regulated, 6 − 15 V, at least 0.15 A excluding the current requirements of the external loads)
Notes
- With USB, the maximum sampling rate is limited to 1024 Hz.
- This is a limitation inherent to USB technology, Windows and Matlab, but not EASYIO.
- Despite this limitation, the EASYIO platform can be used to control the Magnetic Levitation System, DC Motor with Encoder System and Repulsive Magnetic Levitation System.
